I am a mum of two to George and Rosie and my journey in sleep coaching began when George was born a professional night waker, very early riser and never wanted to sleep in his own bed...
Becoming a parent really is the most incredible feeling and I wouldn't change it for anything, but equally it's the most challenging thing I have ever faced. Having suffered first hand with the effects of sleep deprivation with a baby who also had a medical condition which caused feeding issues (as well as struggling to lay on his back due to reflux) I can genuinely relate to the feeling of desperation towards sleep and rest.
After months and months of no improvement, I became obsessed with reading books, googling 'why doesn't my baby sleep' and following every sleep consultant I could possibly find and this is what inspired me to learn everything there is to know about infant sleep myself and it sure has paid off! It's really difficult to know what is 'normal' and how a baby 'should' be sleeping. The truth is, there's no such thing as normal or should. Each and every single person from baby to parent are different and it's about understanding them as an individual and not just a person within an age range, working on text book averages.
I couldn't think of anything better than to help and support other families. After lots of research to find a course that shares the same values as me as a person, this is when I made the decision to become a certified holistic sleep coach which has given me the knowledge I need to enable me to be where I am today and to share this with you.
